THE RETURN OF THE DAYS OF RADIO

Remember the good old days when families used to sit around the radio and listen to Orson Wells?

Me neither! It was just a bit before my time. However, I can remember when I was a small boy, the day we got our first "Color TV". It was awesome! But, not too many years before that, radio was the big thing! "The" source of home entertainment.
Families would sit around their livingrooms for hours listening to their radio console, which usually doubled as a very nice looking piece of furnature. With the birth of television, radio rapidly started dying out.
It wasn't until the last couple of decades that radio started making a dramatic comeback. This is amazing, considering that radio has remained basically the same. The technology is basically the same today, as it was 80 years ago.
So, why would radio suddenly become popular again? On the surface it would appear to make no sense. After all, people who have new wireless digital push button phones, are not suddenly interested in using the old crank phones where every call had to be connected by an operator after you turned the crank on the side of the phone.
Similarly, no one wants to use the old dial phones now that they have touch tone. Also, no one is clamoring to buy a phonograph, now that they have a CD player, or especially an MP3 player. So, why the re-birth of radio? The answer is simple, but it didn't happen over night.
Many people, especially those who watch the news and keep up with current events, (myself included) started noticing that the majority of the television news media were "not" reporting the news. They were reporting their personal opinion, and "their" version of the news!
Before Fox News came along on cable, the only place you could get the news without being brainwashed, was CSPAN or talk radio, which didn't have allot of listeners then. (especially compared to today) Slowly, one by one, people started tuning in to talk radio.
To their amazement, they found something on this antique form of media, that they couldn't seem to find anywhere else. "THE TRUTH!" Despite the other popular forms of media, and even the public school system telling us that "Truth & Right and Wrong" are simply a matter of interpretation, people still recgonize the truth when they hear it, and they still choose it.
In my humble opinion, if Babe Ruth was the man that saved baseball, then Rush Limbaugh is the man that saved talk radio. Even though he has a listening audience of 6 million people per day, (and growing) he is hated by the main stream media. They criticize and make fun of him constantly.
There are only a hand full of powerful people in the media, that are standing up for your freedoms. Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, Bill O'reilley and Rush Limbaugh to name just a few. They are all under relentless attack by the mainstream media and left wing Washington politicians.
Many folks who hate Fox News and the above mentioned people, don't really even know why! (are you one of them?) They have simply listened to the other popular news channels and believe everything they have been told. Is it possible that you've been deceived? If you hate these people and can't think of a reason pertaining to something "you personally" have heard them say, then it's possible that you have.
You're pretty smart! Judge for yourself, after listening to them for a week. Don't take anyone elses word for it. "You decide".
It's a sad time in America, when out of control spending, attacks on our freedoms and the trashing of the constitution are applauded, but the few who expose it and speak the truth are condemned.
Over 2000 years ago a man spoke the truth and he was killed for it. His name was Jesus. Corrupt people don't like it when their way of life is disrupted. Corrupt people still don't like it today! They are trying to "Kill Talk Radio". (for starters)
Freedom of speech anyone?
Obama Administration Asks that Jesus Name Be Removed

Obama doesn't want to speak on the same stage where Jesus name is displayed?

Many of you may be saying "What's THAT About????" However, the rest of us who followed the 2008 elections and listened to this man are not at all surprised!
I have little to say about that. However, Jesus was quite blunt about what they did.
Matthew 10:33 - "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
This is the fate that awaits whoever complied with the Obama administration's request at Georgetown University, to cover all religious signs and symbols before Mr Obama spoke there.
If you listened to all the anti Christian rhetoric that Mr Obama spoke during the campaign, (we are no longer a Christian nation etc . . ) and then still voted for him, you are quilty as well. You also run the risk of Christ saying "I Never Knew You"
God is not politically correct. God's word is not to be changed to suit us. If you chose a man that has anti Christian views and policies to represent you before the world, he will be your representative in heaven also.
The next time you vote for a leader, ask yourself "Where is he going, that I should follow him?"
"SIN TAX?"

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone -

When the government taxes things such as tobbaco and alcohol, it is referred to as a "Sin Tax". When it appears on the surface that government is doing the right and godly thing, many Christians jump on board. But, are you really doing God a service? If you consider these things a sin, are you ordained by God to be his police force?
Granted, the government has a different motivation and agenda, but what about you? The duty of a Christian is simply to "point the way" not to handcuff people and drag them there. God did not call you to be a judge, he called you to be a witness.
A good deal of the time, when Government steps in to do the "Right and Godly thing", you are usually looking at a "wolf in sheeps clothing". You may feel that government is doing you a service, by punishing the smoker or drinker, to protect you, but what about tomorrow when the government decides that your favorite cologne is equally offensive to people?
Beware of government baring gifts. Though you may agree with the government on issues like this, it is dangerous for you. Dangerous because it singles out a group of people, then sets you up as their judge.
You can lead a person to Christ, but you can't make them accept him. You can show them the way, but you can't force them to make the journey.
A good deal of your tax dollars go to do good things, but you get no credit from God. If you give to the poor, you will store up riches in heaven, but when your tax dollars go to the poor, you get no credit at all. Once again, government seems to be doing "you" a service. However, it would be better if you decided to give to the poor, not the government.
You may agree when the government punishes people for smoking and drinking, but then the government has tried to stop you from praying in schools and public places, or reading your bible. What the government considers a sin, may differ with what you believe next time.
Still in favor of the sin tax?
P.S. - I happened upon this very interesting article by: Rev. Robert A. Sirico. I think you will find it interesting. To view it, click on "The Sin Tax Craze: Who's Next?"
Home Schoolers - "The Tax Payers Best Friend"

The home school legal defense association recently responded to an article, written in a Rapid City, South Dakota news paper.

It is one of the many articles across the nation, with the purpose of falsly casting blame on home schoolers, for the failing public school system. I'm sure you will find the article interesting.
Homeschoolers Get Blamed, Again
On January 22, a committee of the Rapid City School Board implied that homeschoolers were to blame for the school system losing thousands of dollars in funding. Just six days later, the Clear Lake Courier blamed homeschoolers for the loss of $41,000 in school funding.
When homeschoolers are wrongly accused of creating financial problems for public school systems, it’s time to respond. HSLDA attorney Scott A. Woodruff sent the following letter to the editor to the Clear Lake Courier:
Dear Editor:
By leaving the blame for the school system losing $41,981 at the door of area homeschoolers, your recent article, “Students and aid lost from open enrollment,” encourages your readership to think that homeschoolers are the problem.
But it’s perfectly logical to reduce a school’s funding when it serves fewer students. If there are fewer students, the school needs less money.
The question that then remains is: “Since the opportunity to serve someone is a privilege, not an entitlement, what does the school plan to change to reduce the erosion of confidence among area families?” That’s the $41,000 question that went unasked and therefore unanswered in your article.
Next time the Clear Lake Courier talks about schools “losing” money because of homeschoolers, please mention how much homeschoolers save the taxpayer by educating their children at their own expense—not the taxpayers’. Homeschoolers are some of the best friends the taxpayer has.
Sincerely,
Scott A. Woodruff, Esq.

"The Righteous Man"

The following quote was taken from the "Good News Bible" translation. Whatever translation you have, NIV, NASB, King James etc..., I'm sure you will find them equally fascinating.

If your marriage is good, if you're healthy, if you have lots of money and no major financial problems to speak of, chances are, you already know and live these verses, or are not imediately motivated to read them. But then, if you're like the rest of us, you might consider reading these scriptures and giving them some serious thought.
Proverbs 4:18 The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come.
Proverbs 4:19 The road of the wicked, however, is dark as night. They fall, but cannot see what they have stumbled over.
Proverbs 4:20 My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen to my words.
Proverbs 4:21 Never let them get away from you. Remember them and keep them in your heart.
Proverbs 4:22 They will give life and health to anyone who understands them.
Proverbs 4:23 Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.
Proverbs 4:24 Never say anything that isn't true. Have nothing to do with lies and misleading words.
Proverbs 4:25 Look straight ahead with honest confidence; don't hang your head in shame.
Proverbs 4:26 Plan carefully what you do, and whatever you do will turn out right.
Proverbs 4:27 Avoid evil and walk straight ahead. Don't go one step off the right way.
To begin with, what does it mean to be righteous? (as in Pro 4:18) I used to always think of a righteous man (or woman) as being some type of "Holy Guru", who spent 23 hours a day, reading the holy scrolls, entering into trance like prayer, uttering words of profound wisdom, eating tree bark and roots, then sleeping the other hour, before getting up to do it all over again.
We all seem to have our own vision of what a righteous man is, but rarely apply it to ourselves. The truth is, "you" can be a righteous man or woman! It is what God intended us to be. "Righteous", simply means: "Doing what is right according to God", and the verses above (Proverbs), pretty much explain to you, how to do that.
These are amazing scriptures, because they should speak to you, no matter where you are in life. Failing marriage, failing health, failing finances, you name it!
Can the word heal you? (Read Proverbs 4:22 again)
Do you really want a divorce? (Read Proverbs 4:23 and 4:24 again)
Are you in dire financial trouble? (Read Proverbs 4:25 through 27 again)
Do you want to bundle this all up, bring it together and make it work for you? If so, you are missing just one little thing, and that is: (oh, brother, here he goes again) "A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!" Many of you may think I'm wearing this out, but it is in truth, the most important thing you could ever learn from me!
As I've said many times, God is not "Santa Claus", and neither is he a "Genie in a Bottle" to be taken off the shelf and used, only when we need him. A relationship with someone who only has time for us when they need something, is no relationship at all!
If President Obama called you tomorrow and said "Hey, I want to hang out with you and get to know you, come on over to the White House", you would no doubt be thrilled! (Especially those of you who voted for him)
Someone greater than him has been knocking at your door for a long time! If you are not at least equally as thrilled about it, then lets face it, he's just not "real" enough to you. Do you want him to be real to you? It starts with the first of many, many conversations with him, and your relationship will grow stronger with each one!
Now that you've read this, you can do as you will. However, I would recommend that you do as "God Wills". It is his will that you get to know him better.
Now that you know that you "are" a righteous man or woman, (or easily can be) scroll up and read those scriptures again, only this time apply them to yourself. (God wants you to do that!)
God Bless
Free Wireless Communication

Link: http://www.powerofaith.com/wireless.htm

GOD was indeed ahead of his time! Prayer was no doubt, the "First form of wireless communications" and the "First Wireless Network". Not only was it free, (and still is) I've never once gotten any of those annoying telemarketing calls that eat up minutes.
Nights and weekends have always been free. Also, free unlimited "anytime" minutes. There have never been any roaming charges. I've never had to re-charge, just to be able to talk the next day and when I am text messaged, it is as good as "Written in Stone".
You are never out of range and always have a crystal clear connection. There is no two year contract to sign and you are free to opt out at any time. You can talk free from anywhere in the world.
When you use this wireless network, you don't get put on hold, you don't get transferred to another department, (that actually knows less than the department you just talked to) and you don't get some annoying sales person trying to sell you something else you don't really need.
You don't get a 20 minute automated message, complete with 20 options to choose from. (That eventually takes you back to the main menu where you started) Instead, You get directly connected to the head person.
"Stimulus Bill is Anti Christian"

"ANTI RELIGION STIMULUS BILL DUE TO PASS SENATE MONDAY"

Democrats in Congress passed the Stimulus Bill, banning 20 Billion dollars to be used to renovate schools from being spent on facilities that allow "religious worship". Don't worry, all this means is, if your school or academic institution needs repair or renovation, no problem!
You simply have to give up communicating with God the creator or acknowledging his son. (Prayer) So, basically, since prayer simply means "talking to God", the Democratic Congress is now telling you (the American citizen) who you may or may not talk too, and where you can do it! (Oh, thank you Lord Harry Reid and Queen Nancy Pelosi)
To their credit, when this bill reached the Senate, there was not even one single Rebublican vote to support this bill, thus blocking it from being passed. However, three republican Senators have recently moved to support this wild spending spree, they falsly named a "Stimulus Bill".
This means on Monday, this bill will surely pass. I will provide the names of these Republican Senators as soon as I get them, they deserve to be made famous. When they come up for re-election, just vote democrat, because there is surely "No Difference".
As far as the other items in the stimulus bill, lets just save allot of trouble next time. Let's pick a random teenage girl, give her a credit card with an unlimited spending amount and let "her" take care of it. "SURELY THE MONEY WOULD BE SPENT MORE WISELY!!!"
This Stimulus Bill is an insult to the American taxpayer! If you're not outraged, you should be!
"Tax System Too Hard For Treasury Secretary"
By Dan Douglass on Feb 2, 2009 | In Political, Human Rights | Send feedback »

"Give to Caesar, what is Caesar's"
"Should Christians have a political opinion?"

"YES!" We Christians read those words that Jesus spoke, and not only do we blindly obey as we skip merily down to the IRS to pay, but we've even imporoved on his words! (and what thanks do we get? Geesh!)
We've decided that we're not supposed to even question the tax system. And for that matter, we are "NOT" supposed to have a political opinion or even a view! After all, "we are not citizens of this world, we're citizens of heaven!!!" (Right?)
Obviously, that was a statement made by some rich preacher with a tax exempt status! Why in the world would "he" want to question it, he probably doesn't even have to pay taxes. Isn't it interesting that most of the people who tell you what you can and can not do with your money, are the ones who are receiving it and not paying taxes on it? (Preachers and politicians)
Citizens of heaven or not, we're stuck "here" for a while! If the plumbing is broke, you fix the pipe! If your donkey falls into a pit, you pull it out! If your vote or opinion can make a difference in the world you live in, it's your duty to voice it, or vote on it. Especially when you have the freedom to do so.
To "not" vote or voice your political opinion is to let your house get flooded, rather than simply "Fix the Pipe!"
For those of you that do not follow the news. Barrack Obama recently appointed Timothy Geithner who owes something like $34,000 in back taxes, to become the head the nation's financial system. "Secretary of the Treasury" (you read correctly, it's no joke)
Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, Incoming White House press secretary Robert Gibbs and Senate majority leader Harry Reid all refer to this as "an honest mistake". Okay, lets all jump on the political partican bandwagon and accept and agree with that! It was an honest mistake!
The next question logically has to be, "If the tax system is "so" complicated that the head of the nation's financial system, AKA "Secretary of the Treasury", can't do his own taxes without making an honest mistake, then maybe the tax system is . . ahh what's the word...Ummmm !!BROKEN!!!" And what hope do the rest of us have?
Maybe it's time to pay a little more serious attention to the "Fair Tax" as suggested by Mike Huckabee. (just a thought)
What are "your" thoughts?
"Man Hurls Shoes at President Bush"
By Dan Douglass on Dec 19, 2008 | In News, Political, People, Human Rights | Send feedback »
Link: http://www.powerofaith.com
An Iraqi journalist (see video below) hurled both of his shoes at a president in Iraq, and "still lives" today! This is an excellent testimony to George Bush's legacy, as he happened to be that president.
This journalist was apparently not intelligent enough to realize that if he had thrown his shoes at a president in that country 7 years ago, he would have had to witness his family being tortured to death, followed by being tortured to death himself. I guess that was just his way of saying: "Thank you Mr Bush for freeing my country from people as hateful and violent as "I" am"
Just 7 short years ago, they were beheading and executing women in the stadium in that country for sport. Of course we can all see and understand why this bare footed fool would miss all that! After all, how dare George Bush to deprive a hand full of Iraqi leaders, the right to oppress a whole nation of people! (shame on George)
I think we should all chip in and buy a whole suitcase full of shoes, give them to this guy, (since he doesn't have any now) then send him to Iran, where he can lob them at "their" president! Of course you and I know that he wouldn't, because he's a coward.
I would suggest the same for all the left wing nut jobs who have been praising this shoe throwing wacko. President Bush was as quick to react to the flying shoes, as he was to the September 11th incident. Thank God.
Personally, I don't appreciate foreigners disrespecting our president, or hitting our flag that so many good people have died for. If you are an American and praised that incident, maybe you'd be happier living in Iran, where you can exercise your freedom of expression!
Several years ago, President Ronald Reagan told his wife Nancy these famous words: "Honey, I forgot to duck!" The other day, President Bush told his wife: "Honey! I Ducked!"
"Atheist Sign Placed Next To Nativity Sceen"
By Dan Douglass on Dec 5, 2008 | In People, God, Human Rights, Wisdom | Send feedback »
Link: http://powerofaith.com
A group of people (with obviously nothing better to do) who go by the name of, the "Freedom From Religion Foundation" was allowed to put up a large anti religion sign on the same platform with the nativity display, in the Washington Capitol Building.

So, you might ask, (scratching your head) "What's the Point?" I'd love to tell you that there is no point, but there actually "is" a point. The President of the Freedom From Religion Foundation had stated during a short television interview that this sign "is" an attack on religion.
The sign reads:
“At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail.”
“There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell.”
“There is only our natural world.”
“Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”
I know I tend to be irritating sometimes, but I tend to find humor in almost everything. These people seriously need a hobby!
I mean, that's their claim to fame? Their achieved goal in life? That sign??
I picture this guy walking into meetings, whipping out a badge and saying: (in a deep resonating voice) "CEASE AND DESIST ALL RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY! - I'M THE PRESIDENT OF THE FFRF!"
Okay! Back to the article. (sorry)
So, aside from attacking Christians, there really was no point and it shouldn't have been allowed. If they had some sort of symbol related to their religion, (or lack of) I could understand allowing that to be displayed. But all this is, is a sign containing and promoting hate speech directed against people who do not agree with their point of view.
The sign could not have been put up without the permission of Governor Gregoire. Does this woman have something against Christians? Christmas is a documented national holiday and is officially recognized by the United States Congress. The nativity is directly related to this holiday, the atheist sign is "not".
If this group wishes to petition Washington to have their own holiday (to commemorate nothing) that's okay with me. Whatever day they might choose for such a holiday, might be a good time to put their displays up at the Capitol Building. Some good choices might be: April Fools Day, Friday the 13th or Black Friday.
I think these would be most acceptable choices to them, since they believe they have no future beyond this short time here on earth. Their sign or Logo could be a giant "Zero" or an "X" or maybe a big "Blank Poster!"
They can celebrate all they want, on their own day! And if theres food or beer, I might attend myself.
The bottom line is, don't get all upset about it. Christians tend to get all shook up when a few ignorant people do rude things to us. Pity them sure, but pray for them. Some day, about a few seconds after death, they will wake up in a world that is nothing like this one.
Wherever they live or wherever they go, will not be a choice they will make anymore, and it will last forever. These people are obviously just looking for their 15 minutes of fame, and they got it. They got on national TV, the O'reilly Factor etc..
Do they really care if we celebrate Christmas? I truly doubt it. If they truly believe there is nothing but non existence after death, what's their point? Why should they care what we believe, and exactly what would they be trying to convert us to?
Don't get all worked up, just take it for what it is. A pathetic few people desperate for attention. (and they got some) The proof of this is, if they actually believed their own rhetoric, they wouldn't be wasting their time doing these ridiculous things. Life is too short. (especially according to their belief)
The only problem here is, now that someone fed their ego a little, they'll try harder to get even "more" attention.
"Greed is Alive and Well at Walmart"
By Dan Douglass on Dec 3, 2008 | In News, People | Send feedback »
Link: http://powerofaith.com

By now I'm sure you've all heard about the Walmart employee who was trampled to death on "Black Friday". Jdimytai Damour, 34 years old, a temporary worker was killed by the oncoming rampage of greed as shoppers fought to get to electronics to save a few bucks on a video game or such.
As if this were not bad enough, I understand that Walmart is being sued for this mishap. Well, speaking of greed, lawyers are now getting involved. This amazes me! Think about it! First, people break down the doors of an establishment that is "not" yet open for business. Second, a man is killed in the process.
Didn't this used to be called breaking and entering? Not to mention "Murder!" I'm not a big fan of huge corporations, but lets call a spade a spade. Walmart is guilty of nothing short of having their store broken into and having their property damaged.
At what point exactly, did we stop holding people accountable for their actions? I think it's a little absurd to punish Walmart for not putting a vault door or bars on the entrance of their store, on the off chance that a crowd of 2000+ people would break it down and kill someone. Don't you?
I say, hold accountable the people who should be held accountable. Surely there must have been a security tape of this incident. Also, when someone buys something from most any store, the time and date of the purchase is stamped on their reciept.
Surely, a good portion of these people used a credit card to purchase the items they killed this man to get! I don't believe it would be too hard to track down the greedy offenders. Make an example of them by holding them accountable, then this incident will not be repeated next week, next month or next year!
All I can say to the people responsible is: Tell your children "Merry Christmas" I sold my soul to save a few bucks to buy you this christmas present. Enjoy sweetie!
Maybe it's time to remember what this holiday is all about. And for the younger generation, maybe it's time to "learn" what this holiday is all about.
"THE ATHEIST PROFESSOR"
By Dan Douglass on Sep 22, 2008 | In God, Wisdom | 17 feedbacks »
Link: http://powerofaith.com
This is a story of something that happened a few years ago at a major university. Although it has gained much popularity, many claim it is just an urban legend. Whether truth or legend, it is an entertaining story none the less. (see comments below)

There was a professor of philosophy who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God could not exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impecable logic.
For 20 years he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone "against him". No one would go against him because he had a reputation.
At the end of every semester, on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there's anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!" In 20 years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "because anyone who does believe in God is a fool". If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from dropping to the ground and breaking.
Such a simple task to prove that he is God and yet he can't do it! And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the class room and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of the students could do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students were convinced that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.
Well, a few years ago, there was a freshman who happened to get enrolled in the class. He was a Christian and had heard the stories about this professor. He had to take the class because it was one of the required classes for his major. And he was afraid but for 3 months that semester he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said or what the class thought. Nothing they said or did could ever shatter his faith, he hoped.
Finally the day came. The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up." The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of classroom. The professor shouted, "You fool! If God existed he could keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!" He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man then ran out of the lecture hall.
The young man who had stood up proceeded to walk to the front of the room and share his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he testified of God's love for them and of His power through Jesus.
"The Magic Atom"
By Dan Douglass on Sep 20, 2008 | In News, God, Wisdom | Send feedback »
Link: http://powerofaith.com

I was watching the science channel and the theme was the "Creation of the Universe". Before I relay what was said, let me point out that this information was originally presented by the greatest scientific minds on earth and in history.
Let me also point out that this information was not presented as a theory, but stated as "Matter of Fact" and "The way it is". Brace yourselves, here goes:
According to this documentary on the science channel, Billions of years ago, (they gave an exact amount) an Atom appeared from nothing! (you heard me correctly) This atom then either exploded or expanded Two Billion, Billion times to the size of a softball.
From that point, we somehow reached "this point". Everything you see and hear around you.
At this point I was simply staring blankly at the television while saying: "duh . . What???" (as I hold up a finger) Does this bare a striking similarity to the children's story "The emperor has no clothes"?
Sorry, that's it! An atom appeared from nothing and everything you see today was the result. Instead of teaching "intelligent Design" in the public schools, "that" is what it has been replaced with. (The Magic Atom) Because of this so called "fact", our children are not allowed to pray or read their bible in the public school system?
If some of the most intelligent minds in history don't believe in "intelligent design", what do we call this discovery? "Un-intelligent design"? It would seem to fit since there were no facts used to promote their discovery.
Wake up people! Your rights are being stripped from you every day, by allot of people who seem to be just making up their own facts as they go along, and convincing others to go along with what they invent.
Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, not fear of your college professor. Having a Doctorate or Masters degree, is apparently seriously over-rated. Lets face it, if these same people (or person) had come up with this theory "before" receiving their credendials, they would never have graduated college.

"How Many Disciples Did Jesus Have?

If you ask most people "How many disciples did Jesus have?", they will fire back quickly "12 of course". How many do "you" say he had? Was it: 12?, 11?, (minus Judas) 70?, more than 70? or Too many to count!
The correct answers, believe it or not are: "More than Seventy" and "Too many to count". Surprised? According to scripture, Jesus had a multutude of disciples.
Luke 6:17 - Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great throng of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon,
Could seventy constitute a large crowd? Yes, it could, but, the scriptures indicate that Jesus had even more than that!
Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.
If there were seventy "others", then we can assume that there are more besides the others. Jesus commanded his disciples to "Go and make more disciples" Strange how when someone becomes a believer, we call them a "Christian", but back then, they were called disciples. To be a disciple should be the goal.
John 4:1 - Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John
Our purpose is not to simply be a believer and attend church once a week. Jesus said: "Go and make disciples". Once a disciple is made, the command then falls to him to go and make disciples. In the true order of things, there should, by now, be more disciples than we could count.
Of course, that's assuming that we structure our churches the way Jesus intended. Hmmmmm

~ The Coming Day of Reckoning ~

Jesus said only a few will make it to heaven. A great proportion of the modern day Christian Church is just short of being repulsive. There is an epidemic of spiritual gluttony. Everyone is seeking the gift, but no one is seeking the giver of the gift.
In a great deal of churches, on almost every street corner in the country, you will find no shortage of self proclaimed prophets, people babbling in tongues and people with a "Word or Vision from the Lord". These people generally serve no purpose in the body of Christ, except to glorify themselves.
The pews are filled with people who only want to hear what God can do for them. Open up the windows of heaven, gifts of the spirit and promises of wealth if they tithe. The day of reckoning will truly be the hardest on the preachers of these congregations, the ones who encourage and teach these things.
Their motivation is money. They have learned that this self absorbed generation will not support a ministry with their money, unless it is out of guilt or the promise of financial gain in return, and even some of the most righteous appearing preachers, play it for all it's worth.

"And The Children Shall Lead"

Below, this video found on "youtube" is pretty cool! However, the coolest thing "I" found about this video, was that my 14 year old son was very excited to show it to me.
Of all the crud on the internet, just waiting for a chance to infect our children, and warp their minds, he was impressed with this one and was very excited to show it to me. (Share it with your children)
"This youtube video has been viewed 3,688,744 times" (even more after "you" watch it)
When I hear about even one kid with the faith and courage to stand up against the odds and defend their beliefs, it tells me "There "is" still hope for America" These are the children, and make no mistake, one day "The Children Shall Lead".

To those of you who check this blog site every day, you've noticed that I haven't been blogging much. (Sorry bout that) I have been busy giving the Power of Faith Ministries website an "overhaul", "face lift", or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, when finished, (soon) it will look totally different, but be more user friendly.
Here is a great joke curtesy of: http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/jokes/bljokebushmoses.htm
George W. Bush Meets Moses
George W. Bush was walking through an airport last week, when he saw an old man with white hair, a long white beard, wearing a long white robe and holding a staff. He walked up to the man, who was staring at the ceiling, and "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?"
The man stood perfectly still and continued to stare at the ceiling, saying nothing. Again, George W. asked, a little louder this time, "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?" Again, the old man stared at the ceiling motionless without saying a word. George W. tried a third time, louder yet. "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?" Again, no movement or words from the old man. He continued to stare at the ceiling.
One of George W's aides asked him if there was a problem, and George W. said, "Either this man is deaf or extremely rude. I have asked him three times if he was Moses, and he has not answered me yet." To which the man, still staring at the ceiling finally replied to the aide, "I can hear him and yes, I am Moses, but the last time I spoke to a bush, I spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness."
"Unconditional Surrender Now"

On this day in 1945, Emperor Hirohito of Japan announced news of his country's unconditional surrender in World War II over a radio broadcast to the Japanese people. For the Japanese people, this was a horrifying thought! Most of them invisioned (because of propagana) slavery, torture, humiliation and death.
What actually happened was, they were eventually "Set Free". Since then, Japan as a nation, has experienced more freedom than it has throughtout it's entire history. Sometimes Good things come out of the bad. Sometimes, unconditional surrender can lead to happiness. (believe it or not)
Similarly, many wives have the same fears as the Japanese did when it comes to surrendering to a husband, as commanded in the bible. Also, similarly, many men (and women) have the same exact fears, when it comes to surrendering to Christ.
Being human as we are, for many of us, it takes a catastrophe of earth shaking proportions before we are ready to unconditionally surrender to Christ. (I know - It did for me) It may be hard to understand, but you can not be totally free, until you surrender.
It's God's order of things. Just like a Seed has to die before you can plant it and begin a new life, one must surrender before they can be totally set free. If you are a new Christian, this might be a bit confusing and hard to swallow, but if you want to experience freedom and peace of mind like you've never known it, surrender unconditionally now.
Still confused? Visit the website and wander around there a bit!

Prejudice is alive and well in America! If "everyone" is not equal, then "no one is equal". Amazingly, and sadly, most of the racial prejudice I have observed in the last 20 years, has come from the black community. Especially the black church, (that claims to be Christian) and the "Black Politicians".
If I lose viewers and subscribers because of this article, then "so be it", but I simply will not tolerate prejudice. I will not tolerate it against blacks, and neither will I tolerate it against whites. I will not tolerate a mentality that makes blacks step to the back of the bus, neither will I tolerate a mentality that supports "afirmative action".
As I stated before, "If we are not "all" equal, then "no one" is equal. To put it short, equality is for "EVERY" American citizen, not to mention "Child of God".
prejudice >noun 1 preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or experience. 2 unjust behavior formed on such a basis. 3 chiefly Law harm that may result from some action or judgement. >verb 1 give rise to prejudice in (someone); make biased. 2 chiefly Law cause harm to (a state of affairs).
-PHRASES without prejudice Law without detriment to any existing right or claim.
It is very disheartening to hear someone who would campaign to be the president of the United States, pull the race card against his opponent for no reason at all. His assertion is that his opponent "will" use racial statements in the future. Although he has never made such a statement in his life.
Racial prejudice and discrimination will never stop as long as this kind of warped leadership is allowed to continue. All I can say about this kind of subtle, subliminal hate speech is: "It Works". It turns blacks against whites, and whites against blacks.
I guess I am the typical white person that has been referred to in the presidential campaign. The only problem is, I've been mis-represented. I believe that the typical white person (like myself) simply likes people who are likable. I believe they return good for good, and retaliate against evil, no matter what the persons color is.
People are simply people! You reap what you sow. Treat someone with kindness, and you'll get kindness in return. However, start whipping out the race card and you'll find that all it acomplishes is, building a wall between us. This wall is already quite tall and thick! In closing, I'll quote Ronald Reagan:
"Mr. Obama, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!"
