"100 years from now, who will care?"
In 100 years, will anyone be thinking about you? Will you matter to anyone then? Sure, your life is very important to you now, just as mine is to me. And our families are important to us, but 100 years from now, will anyone be able to look back on a picture of you and say anything except: "That was my great grandfather or grandmother?"
My wife has a cat that she is crazy about. The cat is pretty old and set in her ways and so am I. She had the cat for some years before we met. This cat and I tolerate each other. It's moody and cranky and well, I'm a dog person. But we respectfully give each other our space!
I love the cat, It's grown on me through the years, but, I'm just not crazy about it like she is. My wife knows this. And since my wife loves this cat so much, I will take pictures of me and the cat wearing little "party hats" and different things like that and leave the pictures out for her to see in the morning when she gets up.
There will be a note attached saying: "See what goes on after you go to work? Or gone to bed?" My wife and I joke about it and say: "100 years from now, someone will come across these pictures and say - I don't know who this guy was, but he sure loved that cat". (There actually is a point here, and I'll get to it soon)
I was watching Fox News several days ago and Sean Hannity was interviewing the author of a book called "90 minutes in heaven" (or something like that) anyway, it had to do with "life after death". The author said something very interesting that I've also heard other people who have had after death experiences say.
He said: "It actually felt "More Real" there. (In heaven) It seems everyone also unanimously says: "I didn't want to come back". That is of course the ones who visited heaven and not the other place. This does make perfect sense to me. After all, did you know that the word "supernatural", means "More Natural?"
Life really is short and it goes by in a blink. Though this sounds depressing, it really isn't. This is a proving ground. A test if you will. Unless the Lord returns first, we will all die. The good news is, we don't cease to exist, we move to a better place and we probably won't want to come back.
In 100 years you will be talking, laughing and drinking wine (the good stuff - No, not grape juice) at a table God has set out for you in front of your enemies. If anyone gives you a second thought here on earth, it won't matter unless it's something positive. Will any of my writings still be around then? Who knows? Will they help anyone to reach heaven? I hope so.
This is just a testing ground, so help as many people as you can to find heaven. Time is short. If you have supported this ministry, and it has helped even one person, then you have.
Now that you've read this blog, read the book of Ecclesiastes in the old testament, written by Solomon, and it might make a little more sense to you.
