I have people who write to me who desperately need a miracle, healing or answer to prayer. They will write me after reading my pages/articles on Healings, Miracles or How to get God to listen to you. (or at least say they do) They say they've read the significant page so I then reply with a 3 to 5 page letter, basically simplifying what they've already read.

They then respond to me with an email saying: "Yeah, but how do I get a miracle?" You see, one of the points I stress on these pages is that, first, you need a personal relationship with God! "Starting Now!". It is essential to getting your prayers answered.

This is comparable to me saying: "It's Red!". I point out that, it is the same color as a fire engine and that it is the same color as blood, and that I had the CEO of the Dupont paint company give a written affidavit stating that it is red, then the congress, house and senate all passed a law stating that it is red, not to mention the president himself, only to have them email me back and say: "Yeah, but what color is it?

You see, we live in the fast age. Fast food, fast information, you name it. People don't seek a relationship with God, it takes too much time. They figure it's faster to find someone who has a "Red Phone line to God" and have "them" pray about it! TV evangelists have conditioned them to believe that (for a price) they can do this.

God does listen to my prayers and we have been very blessed. I do pray for those who write in with prayer requests, but if you want your marriage restored, a healing or a miracle, you would be wise to get serious and seek the giver of the gift and not the story teller.

Try this experiment. Go to any stranger on the street and ask them for $100.00. You won't get it. Take a month or two and become friends with that same stranger and seek a caring relationship with them and "then" ask them for $100.00. God is no different! He's not a Genie in a bottle and he's not Santa Claus. He loves the personal contact with you, but like anyone else, he doesn't like to be used.
