"Some Things Never Change" - A classic never dies . .

Jeremiah 6:13 - "For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet even to the priest Everyone deals falsely.
Oh, but that was written thousands of years ago. Surely that doesn't apply today! I tell the truth, but allot of people refuse to hear it. (and hate me for it) They don't want to believe what I have to say whether it is the truth or not, but just for a moment, open up your mind and set aside everything you've been taught most of your life.
Now look at this picture and try to look at it through Gods eyes. Here is a guy who, an hour or two earlier, left his mansion and arrived by limousine. He's wearing "very" expensive clothes and his haircut cost more than your car payment. Now, he's under a couple of hundred bright "Stage Lights", in front of thousands of people.
They are cheering and applauding vigorously as he says: "All the glory goes to Jesus". (????) Is it just me or does something seem very out of place with this scenario. Do you believe all the glory went to Jesus?
This same person is telling you that you didn't get healed because, you didn't tithe. Or you didn't "plant a seed", or you didn't send your "Love Gift". He however, "is" healing you and taking money from elderly people on fixed incomes, single mothers on welfare or anyone else that is inadvertently buying his snake oil.
Jeremiah 6:14 - "They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, 'Peace, peace,' But there is no peace.
Dictionary Definition of superficial: [1. existing or occurring at or on the surface. 2. apparent rather than actual. 3. not thorough or deep; cursory. 4. lacking depth of character or understanding.]
Don't misinterpret me. God still does miracles today. He does heal people and deliver them from trouble. He just doesn't do it through "those" people or by the half truths they provide you.
Jeremiah 6:10 - To whom shall I speak and give warning That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the LORD has become a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.
I can promise you this. If you seek God with all your heart and find out what the "true" word of the Lord is, you "WILL" delight in it! Matter of fact, you won't be able to help yourself.
You'll find out that God is not some giant kid with a magnifying glass and we're not the ants, He is a loving father! He will give anything in his power to help a child that he adores. (Just like you or I)
Above in Jeremiah 6:13, he said: "from the least of them even to the greatest of them". Even the little church on the corner is usually "all about money". Either someone is getting their pockets lined, or some preacher in fear of losing his job and being replaced, had a revelation!
The revelation of course was that God is getting ready to pour out his spirit and they are going to need a bigger building or a new wing to accommodate all those new people about to flood in. (just charge it) So now it has to be paid for.
The sad thing is, the only thing they usually do to fulfill the command of Jesus: "that they go into all the world and preach the gospel" - is simply to put a "witty quote" on the marquee out front, once a week. (Two weeks if it's really funny)
Find out what the true word of the Lord is. Don't just take some preachers word for it, (not even mine) Read your bible and find the truth for yourself. It's your soul that is at stake and where you are going to live for the next 100 Billion years may depend on it.
