Feeling Down?
Feeling like you didn't quite make the grade in God's eyes today? I know the feeling. I feel like that almost every day. I wake up and say: "Everything I do today, I'm going to do it to honor God. I'm going to make God like me and be proud of me today. Then, I get in my car and ten minutes later some person on a cell phone sits through the "Green light" directly in front of me.
Before I know it, I'm reciting some un Christian like language to myself. Then the disappointment sets in. Wow, I didn't even make it an hour or two before I broke one of Jesus` commands, that we "love one another". It can be anything. Dropping something, someone is rude to you, there's a million things that can make you slip.
So, did you blow it today and don't feel worthy of God's blessings? I don't mean to make you feel worse but, your not! None of us are worthy. We never will be. So, do we just quit trying? Absolutely not. We strive to be more like Christ, but in truth, only one was like Christ, Jesus!
It is still a goal worth striving for. The closer we get to it, the better our life will be. Until then, we will probably make troubles for ourselves, of which we can only cry out to God and say: "God, I'm sorry, Please help me! And if we say these words from the heart, God will. If we say them from the heart, God does "not" keep score!
Most of us are no different from the person on the operating table who needs a "heart transplant". What we don't realize is, as long as we are crying out to God saying "God, I'm sorry, Please help me", Our heart is working just fine! All we need is a transfusion. Keep asking and keep working on it and Jesus Christ will be the blood donor. (don't get discouraged)
