"The Pleasure is all Yours"

How do you pray? I listened to a sermon one time where the preacher was talking about "praying at all times". He said he got really serious one day, got on his knees and prayed about everything. Then he prayed about everyone he could think of. When he was done, he looked at the clock, and only 5 or 10 minutes had passed. (sound familiar?)
So, how do you pray at all times? After all, you can't sleep 8 hours and pray 16 hours every day, you have to live a little. Don't get me wrong, praying on your knees, being respectful and showing reverence to God is a good thing, but for the most part, prayer is yet another thing that man (or Satan) has twisted and re-designed it to push you farther away from God.
We have been taught since birth that we are supposed to be on our knees and either use "holy" sounding language, or recite some holy sounding prefabricated prayer.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 is not always a "positive" scripture. Make no mistake, Satan knows this scripture well! Prayer has become a chore! If we can force ourselves to pray at least one hour a day, we walk away feeling either justified, or like God owes us something, but neither is true.
Prayer is supposed to be enjoyable. It is a chance to talk to the creator of the universe and everything in it and he listens to us. It would be considered the highlight of some peoples lives if they could only talk to "Elvis", their favorite rock star or movie star, but they consider it a chore to talk to God. Religion has taught them that.
Time to unlearn a few things. Praying to God is supposed to be an exciting, wonderful and enjoyable thing. If your not getting answers to prayer, it's because it's become a chore for you. How friendly would you be with someone who considered it a chore to talk to you?
God is with you all the time, so talk to God all the time. It doesn't have to be fancy, it just has to be. "talk to him". Could you possibly be around anyone else all the time and "not" have a personal relationship with them? If you didn't, wouldn't that be offensive to that person?
The personal relationship is for "your" benefit. Take advantage of it. The pleasure is all yours! (and so are the rewards)
