A conversation between Winston Churchill and Lady Nancy Astor, a member of parliament in the British House of Commons. (and others)
Lady Nancy Astor: Winston, if I were your wife, I'd poison your tea.
Churchill: Nancy, if I were your husband, I'd drink it.
Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
Churchill: And you, madam, are ugly. But in the morning, "I" shall be sober. (meaning, in the morning, she'd still be ugly)
Woman:(after seeing Churchill leave the bathroom without washing his hands): Young man, at Eton they taught us to wash our hands after using the toilet.
Churchill: At Harrow they taught us not to pi*
* on our hands.
I forget who he was talking about, but he was quoted as saying: "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire"
I give Winston Churchill a Power of Faith "two thumbs up".
