I've Had Enough!

Strange world we live in today. Everything seems to be all about making money. It's all about making a profit. It seems that the days have long passed when people entered the medical profession because of their basic love for humanity or a true desire to help others.
Long gone are the days when people strived to get a teaching degree out of their love for children and a desire to mold young innocent minds into fine young adults of good moral fiber.
And the legal profession? Well, I hardly have to write anything here. You can fill in the blanks. Of course not everyone who enters these professions do it only for the money, but I can safely say, there are very few who do it for any other reason.
Theres nothing wrong with making a good, honest profit, but, have you bought a printer cartridge lately? $35.00? Are you serious? For a thimble full of ink in a shell that is mass produced on an assembly line. I would speculate that the cost is under 1 dollar to make.
Then there's software! The kind your computer will not run without, made by some of the richest people in the world. Let's say, some poor schmuck picks up some computers for his children, so they can do school work, research on the net etc... (for under $100.00 used)
Then he goes to the department store and buys one of the brands of software to make the computers work for $200.00 or $300.00. After installing it in one childs computer, he finds that he can't install it in the rest.
He's told "You have to buy 3 or 4 (depending on how many children) copies of the "same" software, one for each computer (for 2 or 3 hundred dollars apiece)
At what point does one say to their self: "I have enough" or "I have everything I need and want, and nothing else is desired". Money seems to be like a drug! The more you get, the more you want, and you get intoxicated by it.
There seems to be no point to reach or goal to achieve. Even when a person amasses enough wealth to support an entire country during their life, it doesn't seem to be enough to satisfy. The goal then is to destroy the competitors, buy them out or do a hostile takeover.
1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows
I'll probably never have enough money to really relate to these corporate giants, but from what I've seen, thank God I don't.
