"The Truth"
Link: http://www.keylife.org
It is my personal opinion and personal observation that there are not an abundance of people (especially on Christian TV) preaching the truth about Christ and the gospel.
There are however, allot of people telling you what to do and what not to do. Did you know that Jesus rarely did that. His style of preaching was not to say outwardly: "You can "not" do this or that!
Instead, what he did allot of the time was to put it in these terms: "If you do this certain thing, "that" will be the consequence". Although he was Lord, he never Lorded it over anyone by setting himself up as the example for the purpose of administering guilt and condemnation.
Jesus had authority to judge sinners, but never did! Instead, he judged the religious leaders, (preachers) and others who strongly resemble most of the modern day preachers.
Jesus was so disgusted with these preachers who laid rules and laws on the people that he even called them names (you heard me correctly, Jesus actually called these people names) and compared them to snakes.
Every now and then, I run across someone actually telling the truth, and how refreshing when that happens. Actually, it's usually my wife who runs across them and then points them out to me.
She spends her mornings and a good deal of the time, reading, listening to Christian radio and television. Every now and then she says: "I heard this person today that I think you'd really like" and she is usually right.
The latest person she brought to my attention was a fellow named "Steve Brown" from "Key Life" (link at top of page) I logged on to his website and was very impressed. Some people (unlike me) have the gift of putting an entire message in one sentence.
On Steve Browns website, he has short audio spots. The quote that really struck me was this, he said: "Truth, preached without humility isn't truth, it's pride" (think about that) This man is right on the money.
Good preachers are hard to find. I recommend him. I also recommend "Andrew Wommack" at http://www.awmi.net
