No More Fun For You!

Just remember who you are. You're a Christian now.
The moment you gave your life to Jesus, you kissed fun goodbye! Now you just need to fine tune your image a bit. If someone makes even the slightest off color joke, you have to not only maintain that "holy" look, you have to show everyone (using only facial expressions) how disgusted you are.
No drinking, no smoking and if your married, you have sex once a week. This of course is to be done Friday or Saturday after dark, (usually around 9 or 10 oclock) with the lights "off". (hey, it's the law!)
Now, you must spend at least 8 hours a day in prayer and meditation. If you don't, how are you going to be righteous enough to keep all those sinners in line and judge them? This is called "The Joy of the Lord", and being filled with the "holy spirit". (and to think my life was so empty before)
Okay, I'll quit pulling your chain, but the sad fact is, this is the view most non believers have of Christianity. It's not by accident either. There are a million preachers out there planting this image in peoples minds.
When I see about 99% of them telling us how to have relations with our wives, I ask myself: "Is this the guy I want to emulate in this department?" Eewww! Then theres the risky story he tells about the one time him and his wife had "foreplay", by actually kissing first! (Whoa) (but God was merciful and forgave them)
If these people are the examples, who in the world would want to be a Christian? The truth is, being a Christian is nothing like these people describe and nothing like the example they set.
Jesus himself drank wine. (no, it was not grape juice) he socialized and liked being around people. He turned water into wine at a wedding feast where everyone was probably slightly intoxicated already. (150 to 180 gallons to be exact)
Read "The Truth About Drinking" at http://www.powerofaith.com/drinking.htm
God created us to have sex, and if your married, there is nothing that prohibites you from having it! Whatever you do with your spouse in the privacy of your bedroom is blessed by God, and it's no one elses business.
Whenever I am asked: What is your opinion about sex?" I tell them: "I like it, Allot".
Also, there are no scriptures against smoking in the bible. http://www.powerofaith.com/smoking.htm
Becomming a Christian is the beginning of good times! Not the end. Just don't place anything as more important than God. He "is" jealous.
