Mothers Day Survival!
Link: http://powerofaith.com
It was a pretty darn good Mothers day! What made it a good Mothers Day? Because Mom was happy! After all, that's what it's all about. So, the day was a success.
I totally skipped the normal routine of asking her where she wanted to go, therefore skipping the routine answer of "I don't care, anywhere "you" want to go", which always puts you back to square one. (and confusion)
Instead, I simply picked a place I knew she'd like to go. "A Middle Eastern Restaurant". My wife and my daughters were thrilled. They like all that stuff. Hummas, Tabouli, grape leaves etc...
Personally, to me it's like eating cardboard and grass clippings, sprinkled with vinigar. (only you have to pay for it) Now it is all clear to me! Now I know why a few of those people over there are killing us, each other and even themselves!
If I had a steady diet of that stuff, I'd be cranky too! Don't get me wrong, It's not that I'm extremely picky, I'll eat whatever, as long as you smother it in grease or gravy first!
The people were pleasant enough, but the experience started when I ordered a coffee! (safe right?) and a bowl of Chicken noodle soup. Trust me, this restaurant is "not" famous for it's coffee.
I tried to be safe by ordering the "Chicken Noodle Soup" also. (I mean, how american can you get?) The only problem was, it was "red" and it didn't have any noodles in it! It was literally the color of tomato soup. It "did" have chicken in it though.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't actually chicken noodle soup as we know it. Being the safe, cautious fellow that I am, I ordered the "Seafood Combo" (salmon and shrimp) with fries! (american)
When it arrived, I saw this little piece of salmon (cut in half) and a few (maybe six) shrimp. Slightly bigger than cocktail shrimp. So, after a meal that cost just under $100.00 all together, I can truthfully say, "the fries were good!" ![]()
Sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm not. My daughters had a great time and my wife is as happy as a clam. Besides, fathers day is comming up. I'll get even and take them all to a "truck stop" and order something greasy! (Some Man Food, Darn It!)
Truthfully, I may have stumbled onto something here! We could save allot of money in tax dollars, if the government would use their intelligence to find suspected terrorists, then make them eat a couple of "fast food burgers" to chill them out!
Then we could all live in peace! What do you think?
