"Muslims - Welcome to America"
Link: http://www.pofm.org
Tonight, my wife and I attended our daughters "awards ceremony". She's graduated. Granted, that's reason enough to be proud, but she actually walked away with more awards and scholarships than any other person in her school.
Her classmates told her (in a light hearted manor) if they heard her name called one more time, they were going to throw tomatoes at her. All I can say is, she burned the midnight oil, lost sleep, worked "very" hard, and then acheived.
Many scholarships were given out tonight, but one in particular was embedded in my mind. There were two, very proud parents giving away a scholarship to the one who most resembled their son. The sad part is, their son is dead.
He graduated from this very same high school, then enlisted in the armed forces. He was sent to Iraq, where two months later, he was killed by a roadside bomb. The report was that he intentionally gave his life to save two other comrads. No doubt, a "true" hero!
The recepient of the scholarship for the one most like their son, went to a "Black youth". The parents of the soldier were white! So it's obvious that their choice was not based on skin color, and probably not based on religion.
The truly, truly sad fact is, when the audience applauded the distributing of this award, all of the "Muslims" and people from the middle east, sat with their arms folded and did "not" applaud. (how disrespectful and rude)
I'll point out that all of these same Muslims and people from the middle east were recipients of scholarships also, mostly due only to their race or religion. This particular award (from these two parents) was based mainly on Academic achievement.
Am I being ridicules? No! You see, they have been offered access to computer programs and such, that actually "Give them the answers" to tests etc... Simply because of their race. Something my daughter was not privlidged to take advantage of.
In America, there is a certain Etiquette. If there are two greiving parents on the stage, trying to honor their "dead" son by being generous, "You applaud Damn It!"
If you are not going to say: "Thank you for liberating my relatives back home" and if you are not going to say: "Thank you for the advantages you've given me, even above your own children so I can live here" And if your not going to say "Thank you for giving me the freedom to "HATE YOU" right here in your own country", then at least have the decency to applaud the parents of a dead child!
Don't get me wrong. Be kind to who you will be kind. Offer special advantages if you like. Just make sure these advantages are open for my children as well. Otherwise, that is true discrimination.
