Never miss an opportunity to "Shut Up!"

Truly most of the troubles we face in life are due to either "talking too much" or "talking at the wrong time". There is much hidden wisdom in the bible, but the scriptures agree.
Proverbs 10:19 When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise. NASB
You must think, who am I to be giving this message? And you are absolutely right! Here I am shooting my mouth off, blogging, every day. Truthfully, it does leave me open to criticism and ridicule. But this is the price I pay to reach "just a few people". (and it's worth it)
However, this saying is never so true as when it pertains to marriage. "Never miss an opportunity to Shut Up". If you want to difuse a potentially volatile situation with your spouse, simply "Shut Up". It's that simple.
Your two choices are "A and B". "A" You can add your two cents worth and retaliate, therefore, adding fuel to the fire. Or "B" you can shut up and let it burn out quickly as opposed to lasting days, weeks or months.
This applies the same way in most areas in life. To be right for the sake of winning an arguement, only glorifies yourself to yourself. Other people will just consider you a "know it all" Other people won't respect you and neither will God. You're the only one who will. (and that's sad)
Most of the time, to keep silent is to display wisdom. Eventually, people will seek out wisdom. Think about it~
