RACCOON'S DON'T APPRECIATE MY MUSIC!

Several days ago, my son came to me and told me that he was hearing scratching noises coming from the ceiling of his bedroom. The hatch going to the attic in that part of the house is in the roof of his closet, so I got a ladder and a flashlight and climbed up to have a look.

I shinned the light around and when I looked in the corner, there was a large raccoon looking back at me. I got a trap out of the shed, put it in the attic and put a half of banana and some peanuts in it. The next day I checked the trap only to find that it had tipped the trap to get all the food without actually going in it. All the food was gone.

I know that it was probably going to have babies any day and out of desperation I put two work lights positioned so that it would flood the whole attic with light (about 800 watts) and put a loud radio up there tuned to a "Heavy Metal" station. I let the lights and radio play non-stop 24 hours a day for a few days. Anyway, the raccoon moved out! haha

So, I guess he didn't like my music much! Anyway, it's a good thing to know if you ever get a raccoon in your attic. It worked for me!
