"I WILL NOT RESIGN"

It is no doubt that Anthony Weiner is sorry. He sure looked pitiful and remorseful, but lets face it, if he had not been caught, he would still be doing the same thing, so I think it is accurate to say that Anthony Weiner is "Sorry he got caught".

I think you will agree that what one does in their private life, should remain private. However, that's exactly why most of us do not get involved in politics or run for office. It is common knowledge that once you do, you can pretty much kiss your private life goodbye.

In America we "do" tend to hold our public officials to a higher standard, and we should. If they are the ones running the country, it is our right to know what their personal beliefs are and how it affects policy. In this department "Weiner came up short".

If a public official cannot be an honorable person to their own spouse, how can we trust them to do the honorable things we put them in office to do. Everyone is honorable when they are running for public office, however, once they get elected, honor usually takes second place to selfish gain or desire.

We need people in office who put the publics interests ahead of their own pleasure. We don't need any more "Rock Stars" in congress or the senate, and especially the White House. Mr. Weiner had a habit of voting with the minority of people who happen to think like he does, not with the majority of Americans.

We don't elect politicians to vote their own will, but the will of the people. Mr. Weiner should finally do the honorable thing and resign. IMMEDIATELY!
