"UNDER GOD" OMITTED FROM THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ONE NATION UNDER WHAT? UNDER WHO?
NBC's opening of the U.S. Open Golf Championship yesterday (6/21/2011) included two readings of the Pledge of Allegiance, but omitted the phrase "under God" both times. The program started with children standing in a classroom, as they recited the "edited" version of the Pledge of allegiance, which omitted the words "under God".
So what do you think? Did all these children simultaneously forget the words (under God) and it was simply just a "oops" moment? Of course we know that they didn't "all" forget the same words at the same time, so the question is, who decided that God should be omitted from the Pledge of Allegiance?
NBC is owned by "General Electric" , so was it one of the "high ups" at NBC, who decided to remove God from the pledge or someone from General Electric?
The last statistic I am familiar with, stated that 95% of Americans believe in God, whether they practice their religion or not. So, who is the genius at NBC that chose to offend 95% of the nation, just so the other 5% (of athiest's) would not be offended.
Then again, maybe it was General Electric who made that call. Regardless of which one made the call, who's the wizard with the computer like brain that chose to omit God from the pledge for the benefit of all the rest of us.
Concerning GE, they might want to stay out of pushing their brand of religion (or the lack of) and try to improve their products. NBC might consider refraining from pushing their religious views (or lack of) and try reporting a more balanced view of the news and events.
