HERMAN CAIN ON ABORTION

Herman Cain: I'm against it! - It should be up to the woman to choose!

I caught Herman Cain on the John Stossel show and again, I was very impressed. I like a man that is honest, and uses good old fashion common sense. I believe what Mr Cain lacks in experience, he more than makes up for in honesty and common sense.
Herman Cain got hammered by another guest about the abortion issue. When he answered, I felt my shoulders go up as I cringed a bit. His answer I thought was not good and made him look indecisive. The problem is, I know what he meant, and I also know that most people do not follow these issues and would take his answer the wrong way.
To condense this a bit, Mr Cain said that he was against abortion, then said it should be the womans right to choose. It seemed contradictory and the other guest hammered him a bit on the issue. What most people don't realize is that the democratic party has twisted the issue of abortion so much, they have people believing that any and every republican wants to control every womans body, and take away their freedom of choice to choose what happens to their own body.
This could not be farther from the truth in most cases. The hard truth is, "Abortion is legal in most if not all states", and the main concern republicans have is that it is paid for using taxpayer dollars, meaning people who are morally and religiously opposed to abortion are forced to pay for abortions against their will. In effect, the federal government is forcing them to sin.
So to clarify, it is the people who are morally against it that are having their freedom of chioce taken away from them. Most good republicans may not agree with abortion, but most don't care to interfere in the affairs of others. It is only when they are forced to do something they feel is immoral that they raise a fuss. (Many Christians believe that abortion is murder)
I know what Herman Cain meant, but feel because of the constant twisting by the liberal media, the majority of the television audience may have taken his answers the wrong way as to look like he is trying to be some kind of dictator and tell women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. I hope this clears it up a bit.
