EBAY and PAYPAL

Thinking about using EBAY? Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to say anything bad about Ebay, I'm just going to tell you a true story. However, if you go to Google and type in the words "Ebay Horror Stories", you will get 499,000 results to choose from concerning Ebay. So, far be it from "me" to say anything bad. Simply google it, and judge for yourself.
Concerning my own personal stories, I won't say anything negative, I'll just tell of my experience and let you (the reader) decide. Back when Microsoft was releasing the Beta version of "Windows Vista" [free] for people to try out, I ordered 5 of them to try in all the computers in the house. (me, wife, kids...etc...)
These "Free" trial copies cost me over $80.00 in shipping! (Right! $80.00 to ship 5 CD'S) When I received them, I noticed that you could legally install "1" copy on up to "10" computers! Well, probably like you, not being an attorney and all, I didn't read the fine print, telling me so. (Silly Me)
I thought, Hmmm, maybe I can absorb some of my loses by selling the extra 4 copies on ebay at a cheap price! Well again, silly me! I was kicked off of Ebay for like a month or so, because I was some kind of software pirate. After all, you can't blame them. Depriving Microsoft of $10.00 dollars, is most certainly stealing food right out of the owners, children's mouths! (Name withheld to protect the poor guy)
Since then, whenever I have done any transaction on ebay, the account seems to have been "Red Flagged" and I am quick to have my account suspended, or auctions pulled for reasons unknown. Oh well, as I said, just Google Ebay Horror Stories and see what 499,000 other good people have to say.

Now, you can feel confident using PayPal, because, unlike Ebay, when you Google the phrase "Paypal horror stories", you only get 327,000 results! Wow, it's a pretty sad day when 327,000 people will maliciously lie about a company, isn't it? (Shame on them)
I recently sold my childrens, last years, Home school curriculum. One of them sold for just over $200.00. I immediately received an email from Paypal stating that the money for this transaction was on hold! Why? They wern't really clear on the reasons, except that the letter started off saying, "We (Paypal) are working together with Ebay . . . . etc...
Oh well, heres the email they sent me . . . . . . .
NOTICE OF PAYMENT RECEIVED - PLEASE SHIP ITEM
Dear Daniel
You've received a payment, detailed below. We’ve placed a temporary hold on the funds for this transaction.
PayPal and eBay are working together to make payments for eBay items even safer. Because we want both buyers and sellers to feel confident about sending and receiving payments through PayPal, we may temporarily hold payments for items sold on eBay.
Make sure to ship the item right away, so you'll have access to the funds sooner. We’ll release the hold in 21 days unless you receive a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction subject to the hold. We may release the hold earlier if either of the following occurs:
The buyer leaves you positive feedback on eBay.
We confirm that the item was delivered.* We can confirm delivery if you ship the item with USPS, FedEx, or UPS and either use PayPal shipping labels or upload tracking information from the transaction details page. This applies to transactions within the United States.
Go figure! I have 100% positive feedback. I've always treated people fairly and even forgivingly when they couldn't pay. I have never left "Negative Feedback" on anyone, (even when they deserved it). The point is, Ebay and Paypal can do what ever they want and you may never know why. (It's not at all like you can pick up a phone and say "Hey! What's up?)
So, like I said, far be it for me to say anything negative about Paypal or Ebay. Just Google it!

www.suspended-from-ebay.com for more info on that. I've got a lot of stories too and they just pile up. I just had an item removed in error. Basically someone reported the item and the lazy ebay worker pulled it without investigating. I was told by ebay to relist but I did not because I only list on free or special offer days, why should I re-list at full price.
