"Hillary Clinton talks about real issues"
Link: http://pofm.org
I've been quoted as saying: "Give me a break, lets talk about the issues". When Hillary Clinton was on the O'Reilly Factor, she did just that! And I say "Bravo!" It's about darned time!
What I expected, was the usual finger pointing, Bush bashing and twisted facts I've heard so many times before. What I (and the amreican people) got, was honest, strait forward answers to tough questions.
O'Reilly at one point asked her a tough question. (I forget the question now) She immediately replied: "NO, and I'll tell you why" (then she did) No redirecting, no spin, no finger pointing and no trying to be clever. O'Reilly leaned back in his chair and said "Whoa!" (I don't think he was expecting strait answers either)
Her whole interview was the same way. I developed a new respect for Hillary after watching that interview. The American people deserve strait answers! And she gave them. She put it right out there. Right or wrong, agree with her or not, there it was. How refreshing!
Yesterday, she made the statement that her husbands nomination didn't happen until June, then referenced that Bobby Kennedy was assinated in June. The Obama campaign leaped on this as her meaning, because Obama is black, he might get assinated.
Truthfully, I don't know how Hillary meant this statement. If it was intended as the Obama campaign claims it was, that is indeed pretty ruthless. We then however, are forced to ask ourselves, who do we want dealing with terrorists, and world leaders who hate us?
Someone charming with a smooth line, or someone ruthless who wants to win at all costs? Another way to look at it is, If you are facing a prison sentence, which lawyer do you choose? The smooth talker that everyone likes? or the ruthless "son of a bitch" who wants to win at all costs?
No, I'm not endorsing Hillary. I'm just pointing out some common sense things to think about.
