Is something hanging over your head? Do you wish you had a time machine and could go back and do it over again differently? Is God mad at you? Did you do something so terrible that God may never forgive you?
Well, you don't have a time machine, and what's done, is done. However, God is "not" mad at you. It's possible that he may be very disappointed in you, but, he's not mad. God made us in his image, and we are like him in many ways. If you had a child that did something terrible, then avoided talking to you about it, the issue would probably never get resolved. God is a good father, but a father none the less. If you want God to forgive you, you have to want to be forgiven. You have to talk to him. Not to mention, he may be the only one who can help you. If you haven't been talking to God, then you don't have a personal relationship with him. It's impossible without communication. I'm not talking about regurgitating the Lords Prayer a several times a day, or any other mindless repetition. I'm talking about "Talking To God". No formalities, no holy sounding thee's and thou's and no uncomfortable positions. Simply talk in "your" normal voice, not imitating some person on TV, but just the same way you'd talk to anyone seriously. Have a personal relationship with him, then you'll be amazed to find that, He will have a personal relationship with you. When that happens, you'll be amazed at what God can, and "will" do for you. There is nothing so broke, that God can't fix it. Isaiah 44:22 - "I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you." Joel 2:12 - "Yet even now," declares the
LORD, "Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping and
mourning; Zechariah 1:3 - "Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Return to Me," declares the LORD of hosts, "that I may return to you," says the LORD of hosts. That sounds like an invitation to me - what are "you" waiting for? God Bless You Dan Douglass
