<description>&#60;p&#62;Okay, I admit, just like everyone, I have my own set of political beliefs and my favorite candidate. I've just decided &#34;not&#34; to press them on anyone else on this forum. So, I may point out both the good &#34;and&#34; the bad about each one. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Take Hillary. Like her or not, I was very impressed about something when I saw her on the O'reilly Factor on Fox news. (Taboo territory for liberals and Democrats) &#34;She gave strait answers to strait questions&#34;. When asked, what would you do about &#34;this&#34; issue or &#34;that&#34; issue, she plainly answered the questions.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;She stated plainly what she would do, and why! Right or wrong, agree with her or not, she boldly put it on the table. Something I haven't heard the other two candidates do. For that matter, I'd never heard &#34;her&#34; do it before either. It would be my guess that she gained allot of &#34;swing&#34; and &#34;undecided&#34; voters that day. (matter of fact, she presented herself as someone who really could be in charge)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;John McCain was just on Saturday night live. I only saw 1 or 2 short clips, but he said, among other things, he had the &#34;oldness&#34; to be our president! (that was funny and that was good) All I can say is, after watching his 94 year old mother out campaigning with him, he comes from some pretty sturdy stock.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;McCain has a &#34;boy like&#34; gleam in his eyes. When I watch or listen to him, I definitly don't see an old geiser wearing depends. I do however, notice the strain of the campaign, showing physical wear on the other two. I sometimes wonder if the other two will be able to &#34;keep up&#34;.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I admire John McCain. He has displayed incredible character! How many among us could do what he did? As a prisoner of war, he chose to remain in captivity and be tortured, rather than leave before some others who had been there much longer. His father was a General. Strings were pulled and he was offered a free ticket out of there, yet, he turned it down.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If character doesn't matter in this election, then all I can say is: &#34;SHAME ON US&#34;.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Barrack Obama seems to have a gift for pulling people together. His voice is like music to peoples ears. He's pleasant, he's calm, he's holds himself strait and looks presidential. Although he's very likable, I really don't know what to say about him. As I said, his voice is &#34;music to the ears&#34;, but the lyrics don't seem to mean anything.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Try as I may, I don't hear any real substance in what he says. It reminds me of the boy who tells the girl &#34;I Love You, you're the only one etc..&#34; then, after he gets what he wants, the girl never hears from him again. Am I wrong? I hope so. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If I'm off track, let me know! If you have any insight into Mr Obama's plan, let me know. I'll even post it here. (or you can) Truly, I don't mean to be negative about Obama, I just don't know what to say about him. His wife seems to be under a bit of attack lately, and he is very displeased about it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;All I can say to that is, do what I would do with my own wife. Pull her gently aside, then tell her &#34;SHUT UP!!&#34; If she is going to campaign and publically attack the other politicians, it should be no shock to receive sniper fire in return! (Just like Hillary did in Bosnia) Haha

<description>&#60;p&#62;You are absolutely on point in asking these questions. They are questions you should ask when you make many desicions in your life. Where your child will go to school. Where you will have a banking account, where you will eat, or go grocery shopping, where you will donate your money. Who TRUELY cares and is compassionate about people? Who is not in it for themselves? Who will do it the way God wants them to? Don't jump on the band waggon on this one. Read and listen for yourselves. Make this an important decision. PRAY about it! This one is going to be a change in the world. Question is, in which direction?

<description>&#60;p&#62;Who do you really want answering the phone at 3 AM in the white House? Forget about a couple of buildings getting leveled by some third world wack-o's, what if the call is to inform the new president that Russia has just sent us a few nukes, and they are halfway here? Who do &#34;you&#34; want answering the phone?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you found out tomorrow that you only had a month to live, which one of these three would you send your child or children to be raised by? Which one would love and care for them the most? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Which one of these three do you believe, will best protect your constitutional rights, without imposing their own will over them?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If your rights were being violated, and you were facing a prison sentence, which of these three would you pick to be your free attorney?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Which one of these candidates do you believe, truly has your interest and the interest of the people at heart, and not their own agenda, or the agenda's of someone else?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I AM &#34;NOT&#34; PROMOTING ANY PARTICULAR CANDIDATE! I simply want to know your opinion. What you think? Your opinion counts and is welcome here.

<description>&#60;p&#62;A very serious thought came across my mind the other day. I meant to post it then, but I didn’t get around to it. I have been thinking about dedication to God. I am talking about very sincere, all the time, lay down your life, dedication. The pastor asked last Sunday, “Who wants to go to Heaven today?” I was the only one who raised my hand. He then said he wanted to go, but he wanted to enjoy life a little longer. Hmmmm. “life” here is nothing I would chose over LIFE with my father. Not one of us is 100% dedicated to the Lord. We may strive to be, but we are all selfish, at times, in our ways. Think about the long nights you’ve spent in prayer, waiting for God to move the way you WANT him to, and when you don’t get your way, you think that God doesn’t love you like he should, or promised (selfish). Trust me, I know what it is to pray every night for the same thing, begging, wishing, hurting for what you want, but in the end, what you want does not matter. So, God wants to take me home? YES LORD! If it is my time, I am ready, because if he is taking me home, he is pleased with me. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We spend far too many days trying to be seen, or recognized for the “good” we do. But is it really good, if we are doing it for others to see? What about when you are in the back of the sanctuary, and you help the little old lady out of her seat as everyone has their head bowed? Only God saw you then. Is that good enough? What about the homeless man that DOES NOT need your money, but a meal, and you bought it for him, but no one else was around to see it. Is that good enough for you? When you feel uneasy about something, and you feel that maybe you are doing the wrong thing, you hide that, so why is it so important for you to go tell everyone about the blessing that God used you to give to someone else? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;PLEASE, understand that if you are in church, jumping, shouting, praising, praying, and doing all of this just because everyone is looking at you, you are not 100% dedicated to God. You are dedicated to yourself. You are dedicated to pleasing this world, and you will reap every benefit that this world has to offer you. However, if you lay yourself down in the midst of the day, because God said, “I want to talk to you for a minute.” Or, if you are asking God every day, &#34;What are we doing today Lord?&#34; Then you may just be on the right path. Then you may reap all of the benefits of knowing the Father. You are never going to see the answers to your questions, or reap the benefits of having a close relationship with God if you don’t get the fact that there is nothing in this world that will EVER satisfy that void in you that yearns to bond with our Father. You, in all honesty, should be content with sleeping on the floor with JUST ENOUGH food to eat, water to drink, and clothes to wear, as long as the Lord is with you. Don’t focus on the latter things in life, for if you seek him in everything you do, all of the other things that you do not need (but may desire) shall be given unto you. God Bless You. &#60;/p&#62;

<title>DeDios on "Happiness, or money?"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;If you could choose between being a millionair and not knowing what your future holds, or being GUARANTEED happiness without a lot of money, what would you choose? When in this world, did it get to the point that money means happiness? It seems that when I speak to people lateley, they are always asking for me to pray God blesses them with money. Well I would like to tell you something... Money is not going to change your situation. A large majority of people that hit the lottery find themselves pennyless again fairly quickly. It is because, instead of asking the Lord to bless them by showing them how to properly manage the finances he already allows them to have, they ask for a money blessing. If I could ask the Lord for one thing, I think it would be wisdom. I would then be able to spend, save, and give according to his Word. I would make better choices, and be very confident that the Lord is pleased with me. Did you ever hear of the story where the man got one wish and he asked that every time he reached in his pocket, he pulled out the exact amount of money he needed? That wish came with wisdom. LOL. Ok, well just a thought that popped up in my head. DON'T FORGET TO TALK TO GOD TODAY!

<title>admin on "ZERO TOLERANCE "Your Tax Dollars at Work""</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;Does something seem just a little out of sync here? There is a zero tolerance policy directed at our children, but we as parents seem to have to tolerate anything that is thrown at us by the school system and teachers? Shouldn't this be the other way around? After all, it's a failed system.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Lets face it. The reason we delegate certain tasks to other people instead of doing it ourselves is because, we trust &#34;them&#34; to do a better job. After all, most of us are capable of putting a new roof on our house, but if we want it professionally done, we hire a roofer or someone else to do it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Not so with the educational system. We hire other people to work for us, then &#34;we&#34; are treated like the employee. How did this system come into play? We pay a gererous sum of money to hire these people through our tax dollars, yet they never seem to be accountable to us. It is usually the opposite.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So, go figure! It's a service that we pay for and though we would never hire a baby sitter without first checking them out thoroughly, we are expected to simply send our kids to be with a complete stranger for 6 or 7 hours a day. It goes without saying, this stranger rarely shares our religious or moral beliefs. So, all this, only for statistics to state that children who are home schooled, are taught better.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;When I watch the news and see that a six year old boy in Texas, was taken to the principals office at his school because the boy apparently patted another six year old, (girl) on the behind, then the police are called, I'm thinking things are a little out of control. The boy (6 years old) is then labeled as a sexual harasser and it is put on his permanent school record.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Exactly who is being harassed here? The little girl or the little boy who was probably frightened out of his mind by the principal and the police. Not to mention his school record is destroyed forever. (High school, college etc..) Which is worse? The sexual harassment by a child who doesn't even know the meaning of it, or the child abuse that was inflected on this six year old boy, by the principal, teacher, police etc..&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;With so many truly dangerous people running around, I can't imagine that the police appreciated this principal wasting their time. If there isn't a law against that, there should be.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;You can also read my blog about this topic at &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.powerofaith.com/powerblog/&#34; rel=&#34;nofollow&#34;&#62;http://www.powerofaith.com/powerblog/&#60;/a&#62; on April 8, 2008
